Turn of the Century Fulper Pottery
Fulper Pottery of New Jersey began in 1860, but did not create art pottery until 1900 under the guidance of the grandson of Abram Fulper, the founder. In the World's Fair of 1904, some of Fulper's work was given a prize for design. In 1910, Johann Martin Stangl, a glazing expert, started working at Fulper. Stangl became president in 1926, and changed the company name to Stangl Pottery in 1929. Stangl acquired the firm in 1930. Judging by the glaze on this ceramic, I would suggest that this was produced prior to 1900 at a time when Fulper was interested in the Chinese/Japanese glazes, and before Stangl came to work for the firm. The item measures 275mm in diameter and 65mm high
